IIT-Bombay blood test to help detect Parkinson’s early

Researchers from IIT-Bombay have developed a blood-based test that could help with early diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and/or could be used as a confirmatory test. The team has seen 95% accuracy rate in detecting the disease in a small cohort of patients in collaboration with KEM Hospital, and is in the process of conducting large-scale clinical trials for the patented technology. Read more
