On the significant occasion of World Alzheimer’s Day (21st September 2023), The Sunita Sanghi Centre of Ageing and Neurodegenerative Disorders (SCAN, IITB) had the distinct honour of hosting and extending a warm welcome to the esteemed Dr. Avinash De Sousa, a distinguished consultant psychiatrist and psychotherapist at VMCC, IIT Bombay.
It was an enlightening and thought-provoking talk. The main focus of this talk was promoting a more profound comprehension of Alzheimer’s and dementia disorders, particularly from Dr. De Sousa’s perspective. His lecture impacted our audience, particularly our students, who were profoundly inspired by his insights and expertise. His participation in the SCAN centre’s mission to foster better care and comprehension of dementia is a testament to his dedication to the well-being of individuals affected by these conditions.
This event marks a significant step forward in our collective endeavour to combat Alzheimer’s and dementia, and we look forward to future collaborations and initiatives that will further advance this cause.
