As we conclude Alzheimer’s Month in September 2023, the Sunita Sanghi Centre of Aging and Neurodegenerative Diseases (SCAN) at IIT Bombay organised an enlightening talk titled “Mind Matters: Understanding Alzheimer’s and other Dementias.” Renowned neurologist Dr. Annu Aggarwal shed light on the complexity of dementia, particularly Alzheimer’s, highlighting their global impact, clinical challenges, and the need for interdisciplinary collaboration. Dr. Aggarwal’s extensive research background and expertise in cognitive neurology, along with her pioneering work at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, emphasised the significance of ongoing efforts to unravel the mysteries of neurodegenerative diseases as we strive to address the growing burden they impose on individuals and society. We thank Dr. Annu for gracing us with her presence and sharing her invaluable knowledge today.
