About Speaker:Professor Vibhu Prasad is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Microbiology and Molecular Medicine, at the University of Geneva.
Professor Vibhu Prasad Earned his PhD from the University of Zurich in 2018 and Pursued his postdoctoral research at the University of Heidelberg.
Professor Prasad’s research centers around understanding the interactions between RNA viruses—such as hepatitis C virus, dengue, Zika, and SARS coronavirus—and their host cells. His studies aim to uncover how viruses manipulate host cell machinery and stress responses to evade immune detection, enhance replication, and sustain infection.
